During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show, Cody Rhodes stated that he recently went to his high school reunion, but he didn’t take his WWE Championship along.
Rhodes stated that this violated a rule in professional wrestling.
He said, “There are some, I guess, principle rules in sports entertainment, pro wrestling, and that evening, I broke one. Always bring the belt. I didn’t bring the belt. I don’t know what was going through my mind. It was a little bit of a date night with the wife, which, by the way, we’ve been married 11 years. Right? Right? I didn’t bring it, and, gosh, I was such a disappointment.”
During a recent appearance on the “Noticias 24” podcast, Stephanie Vaquer shared her reasons for joining WWE, noting that she had received another “very juicy offer” before that.
While she didn’t disclose the nature of the offer, it was speculated that AEW had shown interest in her at the time.
Vaquer said, “I’ll be very honest. Since I was a child, my dream was to sign for WWE. But you grow up, you can’t be guided by the dreams you had when you were 9 years old. When I did what I did in Mexico and Japan, I had already fulfilled a dream. I was missing this extra. Not everything is money. I received another very juicy offer financially. To be a complete wrestler, I was missing being in WWE. I came to NXT because it was the best women’s division in existence.“
