During a recent interview with Adrian Hernandez, Cody Rhodes discussed his Extreme Rules 2012 match with The Big Show and the significant impact the former WWE Superstar had on his professional journey.

The two participated in a Tables match, during which The Big Show got knocked off the apron, and crashed through a table. This caused Cody to win the match and the WWE Intercontinental Championship.

Cody said,It’s fun to pull back the curtain on this one now because I do think this person deserves credit for it and didn’t get any ’cause so many people thought, ‘Oh, maybe that wasn’t supposed to happen’ — the Big Show. Big Show was so influential in my career and doesn’t even realize it because I was going through it when I was going up against him and, man, I’m lucky to have had that experience with him. That was his idea, Michael Hayes was right there to say, ‘Yep, let’s do it,’ and it ended up being a very fun moment.”

During a recent appearance on the “A2theK Wrestling Show,” Kaitlyn (Celeste Bonin) shared her experiences of collaborating with Vickie Guerrero during her time in WWE NXT.

Kaitlyn was involved in the NXT brand’s “game show” era, and Guerrero mentored her.

Kaitlyn said, Vickie, I always did — even though I didn’t know a lot about her at that time — I always had so much respect for her. Just who she is and how she … the mark that she made while she was there and just how much crazy heat she had. It was just so cool to be around her and to experience her wisdom and her knowledge. Her and I had such a great relationship, and I was so grateful to have that dynamic on the show because it protected me and also built me up in a lot of ways, because she had so much heat … she was this monster. We had such a deep bond and I had so much gratitude for her because she really did mentor me, she really did guide me. I know that was the premise of the show, having a pro and a rookie, and that wasn’t just a thing for TV, for me at least.”
