Cody Rhodes and GUNTHER engaged in a war of words as they approached their WWE Crown Jewel 2024 showdown on Monday’s episode of WWE RAW.

During the October 14th live broadcast, the two confronted each other and exchanged verbal jabs.

Cody mentioned that the venue was the birthplace of the “We Want Cody” movement before GUNTHER made his entrance.

The Ring General expressed his admiration for his opponent but noted that Cody seeks to be the beloved hero and everyone’s favorite, which contributed to his situation with Kevin Owens.

GUNTHER indicated that he expects Cody to address that because he desires to compete against The American Nightmare at his best.

Cody then stated that what GUNTHER perceives as his biggest weakness, he views as his greatest strength, and mentioned that he has never faced him in the ring.

Cody also emphasized that he defeated the most dominant champion in WWE history.

Cody then extended his hand to GUNTHER, who accepted it for a handshake.

On Monday’s episode of WWE RAW, Bron Breakker discussed his assault on Jey Uso last week.

Despite previously showing respect to Jey, Breakker attacked him after Uso’s WWE Intercontinental Championship defense against Xavier Woods.

During the October 14th show, a video was aired in which Breakker explained his motivations for attacking Uso.

Breakker mentioned that he initially shook Uso’s hand out of respect after his victory but felt disrespected by Uso’s actions afterward. He also emphasized that they were different as second-generation stars, stating that he doesn’t rely on his family’s name as Uso does.

Breakker expressed his determination to return for the title and asserted that Uso’s family wouldn’t be able to save him.
