New Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes hopes to be half as good as a World Champion as his predecessor Roman Reigns.
Rhodes ended Reigns’ 1,316-day run as champion at WrestleMania 40 (Night Two) in an emotional main event that saw Cody ‘finish the story.’
Speaking at the post-WrestleMania 40 (Night Two) media call, Rhodes praised the former Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. He said,
“Roman Reigns’ title reign is the GREATEST title reign in the History of this sport. I still hope I can be half of the champion that he was for WWE as a leader”
Rhodes’ World Championship hunt has been the focus of his return to WWE in 2022 as he sought to win the title that his father Dusty never officially won.
