Cody Rhodes’ ‘Kingdom’ theme song may be a hit with fans, but the vast majority of them don’t know the lyrics, according to the American Nightmare.
On a recent edition of “The Pat McAfee Show,” Rhodes spoke about his popular theme song which fans sing along to at WWE events. He said,
“So 99% of the audience doesn’t know the lyrics. They just rock out until the one part. Just the ‘woah.’ At the end of the night, when I make the rounds, and we stay after the cameras are down, autographs and pictures and stuff, I wish they would play any song other than that song because they play it over and over and over to the point where it’s too many ‘woahs.’ You’re gonna OD on the woahs at this point. Too many.”
The ‘WOAH’ part of Rhodes’ theme is a nod to his first run in WWE which included the term during his ‘Dashing’ and ‘Scarred’ theme songs.
Ahead of WrestleMania 40, Rhodes told Roman Reigns to “Get ready to learn the lyrics to Kingdom” before Rhodes ended Reigns’ title run at the pay-per-view event.
