Cody Rhodes has shared his name on the current era of wrestling in WWE, an era the American Nightmare is proud to be a leader in.

After Rhodes’ victory at WrestleMania 40, discussions grew of WWE embarking on a new era, one without Vince McMahon.

Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Rhodes shared his name for the current era of WWE. He said,

“We’re in this period of time where there was the Attitude Era, there was the Ruthless Aggression Era, and now we don’t even know what to call this era of WWE. I feel like we should call it the Record Era. We’re just breaking records left and right.

“The new management team, Triple H, Nick Khan, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. They made it so easy for me. I’ve been dubbed the quarterback. They call the plays, I just run the play, and hopefully, we all look good. It’s a blessed time. Thank all of you so much.”

WWE is certainly breaking records, including hosting record revenue with pay-per-views both in and outside of the United States.

Rhodes will not be a part of this weekend’s Survivor Series, his first missed pay-per-view event since becoming Undisputed WWE Champion.

Rhodes’ next high-profile match will come at Saturday Night’s Main Event next month where he’ll defend the gold against Kevin Owens.
