Cody Rhodes appeared in a video for Soft Ground Wrestling Uganda, announcing his intention to purchase a proper wrestling ring for the promotion.
According to a report from Fightful Select, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes inquired about the logistics of sending a wrestling ring to Uganda for SGW before the video announcement earlier today.
The original possibility to ship the ring to the region was deemed too difficult, leading to the decision to produce the ring locally.
Additionally, the funds donated by Will Ospreay were used to lease the land for the promotion.
Rhodes said in the video, “You guys need a proper wrestling ring. You need one for your stories, and to be able to do what you do. You got to be welcomed in the wrestling business in the right way. You need a proper ring. We have found someone in Uganda who can make it for you. It’s not coming over in a boat. It’s not gonna get broken.”
