Corey Graves has been absent from WWE since he shared his frustrations on social media about being moved from the RAW team to the NXT broadcast team.
Graves’ sudden absence has raised numerous questions about his current status with WWE.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer provided an update on Graves.
Meltzer noted that WWE has not fired Graves, and he hasn’t been given any indication that he will be let go based on his recent remarks.
Meltzer also mentioned that Graves “isn’t looking to leave” WWE despite “there were people in the company who thought he was.”
If the situation hadn’t occurred, Graves would have likely replaced Pat McAfee on WWE RAW last night. McAfee was absent from RAW this week due to the college football National Championship game, and Wade Barrett filled in for him on Netflix.
Graves is reportedly under a multi-year contract with WWE, which he signed in January 2024.
Meanwhile, Fightful is reporting that Graves will return to commentary on tonight’s episode of NXT TV at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.
Graves is also expected to be at the Performance Center for rehearsals before tonight’s show.
The report further states that there’s been no indication from Graves or those close to him that his Twitter rant was a work.
