The president of The CW Network is resigning from his role.

Deadline is reporting that Dennis Miller is leaving his position as President of The CW Network after two years. Brad Schwartz, the current President of CW Entertainment, is expected to take over.

Speculation regarding Miller’s departure has been circulating for a few weeks. The news comes as a shock, considering Miller signed a multiyear contract extension last year that was set to keep him at the network until 2027.

Miller will leave his position at the end of the month but will continue as an adviser until the end of this year. He has led the Nexstar-owned network since 2022.

In an official statement, Miller said, “I’ve had a front row seat during a remarkable 11-year run with Nexstar and enjoyed navigating this period of significant transformation for the network. With some of the highest ratings The CW has seen in years and long-term contracts with an array of premium live sports in place, the future of The CW looks very promising.”

Miller managed the CW’s entertainment offerings as the network increasingly embraced live sports like ACC football, basketball, LIV Golf, and WWE NXT.
