Dakota Kai’s dreams of becoming the first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion were dashed on this week’s episode of WWE RAW, but this isn’t the end for her.
In the finals of a 12-woman tournament, Kai lost to Lyra Valkyria during this week’s edition of WWE RAW, the second edition of the red brand on Netflix.
On Twitter, Kai reacted to her defeat and commented on what’s next for her. She said,
“It may not have been my night… but if anything, my journey proves this isn’t over. With my whole heart, thank you ily [I Love You] forever.”
Kai is yet to hold singles gold in WWE but is a former two-time NXT Women’s Tag Champion and two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion.
Kai defeated Katana Chance and Shayna Baszler in the first round of the tournament and advanced to the finals with a victory over Zoey Stark.
