ECW alum Dawn Marie is excited to make her return to WWE as part of next week’s episode of WWE NXT from the legendary 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, PA.
Marie will be the special guest referee for next week’s Hardcore match that will see Lola Vice and Jaida Parker face off.
On Twitter, Marie spoke about her impending return to WWE and is ready to let both women go to the extreme. She said,
“Hello WWE Universe. I’m Dawn Marie. I’m so excited to be back at the legendary ECW arena. This Wednesday, November 6th, to be the special guest referee for Lola Vice and Jaida Parker’s Hardcore match. Ladies, I’ve been watching you go back and forth for weeks.
“So when Ava called me and asked me to stand between you in Philadelphia, it was “YES!” Anything goes in this Hardcore match. Bring your weapons because it’s going to become EXTREME!”
Marie was part of ECW from 1998 to the company’s end in 2001 and would join WWE the following year as part of Paul Heyman’s SmackDown.
Marie’s final match for WWE came in April 2005 when she was on the losing end of a tag-team match at a WWE live event in Milan, Italy.
The Wednesday, November 6, episode of WWE NXT will feature other ECW alum, including Bubba Ray Dudley and Rob Van Dam.
