Former WWE Tag Team Champions Demolition would appreciate a Hall of Fame induction but they aren’t going to lose sleep over the honor.
Despite being a legendary tag team, neither Ax nor Smash has received a WWE Hall of Fame induction to the surprise of fans.
In a recent interview with “Ten Count Media,” Ax explained their thought process about the WWE Hall of Fame. He said,
“Well, you know, it’s nice because a lot of people come up and say the same thing. And we appreciate their loyalty, their being fans of ours, and just remembering that we were in the business—remembering things that made an imprint on their lives. So yeah, it would be a nice footnote. But you know, Barry [Darsow, aka Smash] and I have both said a number of times, we have no control over it. If we get in, great. If we don’t get in, we’re not going to lose sleep over it. So, that’s where we stand.”
Smash added that he and Ax recently joked that they’d accept an induction if WWE were willing to pay the team $100,000.
Smash added that much of his portion of the payment would be given to charities and others, including the sheriff’s department where his son works.
