Mami is always on top, but she wasn’t at WWE SummerSlam 2024 in Cleveland as Liv Morgan defeated Rhea Ripley to retain the Women’s World Championship.
After trading back and forth injuries that put each other on the shelf — in Ripley’s case, what forced her to drop the Women’s World Championship to begin with, several months back just after WrestleMania XL — the title and revenge for their personal vendetta were just two aspects of this feud. The third, a love triangle with Dominik Mysterio, proved to be the Kryptonite to The Eradicator.
During the match, Morgan had thrown Ripley into the turnbuckle, re-injuring The Eradicator’s dislocated shoulder (in kayfabe), working on that to even the size differential between the two and restoring her to a more even-keel contest. Ripley tried her best to keep resetting her shoulder back into place and nearly had the match won, but after Morgan introduced a chair into the ring, Ripley was tempted to use it.

Mysterio stopped her, reminding her she can’t win the title on a disqualification. However, a few moments later, he would put the steel chair back into the ring and in prime position for Morgan to hit an Oblivion on Ripley, landing on top of the chair for an extra advantage.
After that pin, Morgan not only remains the top of RAW’s women’s division and still the Women’s World Champion, but she has managed to steal Ripley’s other prize, as she and Dirty Dom kissed and left with each other.

After a commercial break, Damian Priest was shown super angry in The Judgment Day’s locker room, asking who knew what Dom was going to do. They all denied knowing anything about it.
