Dominik Mysterio has seen the funny side of CM Punk’s torn triceps injury that derailed plans for the ‘Best in the World’ for much of 2024.
Punk suffered the injury during the men’s Royal Rumble match in what was Punk’s first match on WWE programming since January 2014.
During a recent WWE video featuring Superstars watching last year’s men’s Royal Rumble, Mysterio weighed in on Punk’s injury. He said,
“A 47-year-old man tore his tricep. Oh wow, gee, I wonder why? Man hasn’t wrestled in 35 years, comes back for the first time, tears his tricep. Gee wiz, I wonder why.”
Punk returned to WWE in November 2023 and defeated Mysterio twice at live events before competing in the 2024 men’s Royal Rumble match.
Both CM Punk and Dominik Mysterio have declared for this weekend’s men’s Royal Rumble match in Indianapolis, Indiana.
