Dominik Mysterio had no right sharing the ring with huge stars like John Cena, Roman Reigns, and his own father, in his first matches with a crowd.
Mysterio made his in-ring debut for WWE in 2020 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he had to wait until 2021 before he wrestled with a crowd.
At the time, Mysterio competed in dark matches which saw him team with Cena and Rey Mysterio to face Roman Reigns and The Usos.
On a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Mysterio recalled wrestling with an audience for the first time. He said,
“When I first started the live events… tagging with my dad and John Cena against Roman and The Usos for an entire summer leading up to Roman and John Cena, that was huge for me. I had no business being in the ring with those guys and still, they took the time to help me, guide me, and just move me in a certain direction where it would help me and benefit me in the long run.”
