Drew McIntyre is more than ready to put an end to John Cena’s career should the two collide as part of Cena’s upcoming retirement tour.

At WWE Money in the Bank 2024, Cena shared that he will retire from in-ring competition in 2025, ending a 23-year tenure on WWE’s main roster.

Speaking at the Fanatics Fest NYC event, McIntyre addressed the lengths he will go to in order to get a match with Cena. He said,

“I’ve been pushing and nudging them left and right to make it happen cause the amount of stories I got on Punk when I was younger, I got ten fold on him. There was never a one-on-one match, if I have to drive management crazy, I’ll drive them crazy, I’ll drive John crazy, I’m gonna get that match and I’ll tear him apart on the microphone, which not everyone can do, in the ring and send him packing in a happy retirement and hopefully Punk along with him.”

Cena and McIntyre last shared the ring on the January 14, 2019, edition of RAW where Finn Balor won a fatal four-way that also included Baron Corbin.

Several wrestlers have thrown their names out there as potential Cena opponents including The Miz and TNA Wrestling’s Joe Hendry.
