Drew McIntyre’s return on last night’s episode of WWE RAW happened earlier than initially expected.
McIntyre returned following the main event of RAW and attacked Sami Zayn.
Pwinsider is reporting that WWE Creative had been discussing how McIntyre would reappear on television, but his return happened sooner than expected.
The prevailing belief backstage is that McIntyre’s return was expedited by a few weeks due to Bronson Reed being sidelined with an injury from Survivor Series: WarGames 2024.
McIntyre had already been booked for live events over the holiday weekend, including the traditional Madison Square Garden show, meaning he would have returned to the ring by that time regardless.
