Drew McIntyre will gladly give CM Punk a World Heavyweight Championship opportunity should the Scotsman win the title at Clash At The Castle 2024.
After this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, an immensely confident McIntyre was sure that he would win the title this month in Glasgow and would defend against Punk. He said,
“If he gets cleared, when I win the title, I’ll offer him a title match. His ego is so big, he will say ‘yes’ to the title match, social media will freak out, tickets will fly, there will be a buzz you’ve never seen. Punk and I will be in this ring, eye to eye with each other. The bell will ring, and then I’ll embarrass him worse than be embarrassed himself in the UFC and we’ll move on.”
Punk hasn’t wrestled since suffering a torn triceps injury during the 2024 men’s Royal Rumble match, an injury Drew McIntyre has taken credit for.
McIntyre will face current champion Damian Priest at WWE Clash At The Castle on June 15. The show will be WWE’s first pay-per-view event in McIntyre’s native Scotland.
