Drew McIntyre is as focused as can be to take the World Heavyweight Championship from Damian Priest at WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland, even with some very distracting situations going on.
While arguably one of his most important and biggest matches of his career will be going down, McIntyre’s attention is partially elsewhere as he revealed at today’s Kickoff event that his wife Kaitlyn is undergoing emergency surgery and will be unable to attend the show alongside the rest of his family. He said,
“I’ve very much got my eye on the ball. I’ve never, ever been this focused in my life. I didn’t think this was possible. The last Clash was a stab through my heart, my family’s heart, the whole of the UK. I cannot let it happen again in Scotland. I’m back home. I couldn’t have dreamed of this moment. I’m gonna have my people there, my family there, a redo. A chance to make this right. I wasn’t gonna talk about, but I can’t stop thinking about it. The one person who’s not gonna be there is my wife, who’s in surgery right now, emergency surgery. She told me ‘I want you to go there and bring that title home.’ And I’m gonna bring that title home.”
Best wishes in hoping Kaitlyn’s surgery goes well, no matter how the pay-per-view event turns out for McIntyre.
Do you think The Scottish Warrior is going to pull it off? Or will he suffer another tragic and disappointing loss like he did at the last Clash at the Castle and get screwed out of a title win?
