Eric Bischoff made an impactful appearance on this week’s episode of WWE NXT, moderating the intense face-off between Trick Williams and Ridge Holland, setting the stage for their NXT Championship match this Saturday.
Bischoff praised both Williams and Holland, with him drawing on the history of wrestling and noting that Williams represents the evolution of the business, while Holland reminded him of the tough, old-school wrestlers from his early days.
Things heated up when the verbal back-and-forth turned physical, and Williams took exception to Holland calling him “soft,” leading to a brawl that saw Holland get the upper hand, hitting a Redeemer on Williams through the commentary table.
Sean “X-Pac” Waltman also appeared backstage with Je’Von Evans, giving the young star some words of encouragement.
X-Pac praised Evans, noting the similarities between the two, particularly pointing out that Evans was the same age X-Pac was when he defeated Razor Ramon on Monday Night RAW. The two did the “Too Sweet” gesture to end the segment.
"The revolution is happening here in NXT."
