On a recent edition of his “83 Weeks” podcast, Eric Bischoff addressed the rumored Uncle Howdy faction and why he suspects it may not work out. He said,
“I have such a strong but mixed feeling. One part of me is thinking man, that would be so cool, I mean that would be, if it works that would be such a cool thing for everybody including Bray but the odds of it working are pretty risky and if it doesn’t work it will be more impactful than any other idea would if it didn’t work.
“I mean there’s going to be so much focus on it, it’s going to go either way if they do it and if it goes great it’s going to go awesomely, but if it doesn’t go great it’s going to go really really bad and that level of risk it’s just there, so it makes me a little bit uncomfortable with it.”
Since the Monday Night RAW after WrestleMania 40, various QR codes have appeared on WWE TV leading fans to cryptic clues and messages.
It is believed that these clues are building to the return of Uncle Howdy, as played by Bo Dallas, who was taken off of WWE programming in early 2023.
Howdy is expected to return with a faction including Joe Gacy, Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis, and Erick Rowan. A faction led by Bray Wyatt had once been the plan.
Despite various teases on WWE TV and social media, no confirmed date is known for when fans can expect this new faction.
