John Cena’s farewell tour could see him appear for WWE NXT before his career comes to an end if former NXT World Champion Ethan Page gets his way.
On the debut episode of WWE RAW on Netflix, Cena kicked off his farewell tour by declaring for the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match.
On a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Page dared the 16-time WWE Champion to arrive in the silver brand. He said,
“John Cena on this retirement tour, stop by NXT, pal. I’ll look you dead in the eyes. We can do something. There is not a single living, breathing wrestler that would make me feel anything other than excitement for the opportunity to take their spot and their money.”
Cena has appeared in NXT a handful of times, including on a stacked show in October 2023 that bested AEW Dynamite in a head-to-head war for ratings.
On WWE TV, Page has been sharing a more vicious side to his character, including breaking the jaw of popular NXT Superstar Je’Von Evans.
