Ethan Page’s promo on this week’s episode of WWE NXT portrayed a darker and more emotionally charged side of his character.

On this week’s show, Page expressed his frustrations over his recent losses, both in the ring and in his personal life. He referenced the famous “lost my smile” storyline from Shawn Michaels’ career, revealing that he, too, had lost his motivation and happiness.

Je’Von Evans came out to the ring, trying to offer support and reassure Page that the NXT Universe was proud of him. Evans suggested that Page should drop his “All Ego” persona and show the fans his true self. However, Page turned hostile.

This led to a brutal attack on Evans, where Page wrapped a steel chair around Evans’ neck and stomped on it. Evans was a bloody mess by the end of the segment.

Also on this week’s episode of WWE NXT, The Unholy Union made an appearance during a backstage segment featuring Fatal Influence.

As Fatal Influence were mocking Gigi Dolin, Shotzi, and Tatum Paxley, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn showed up to call out Fatal Influence. They pointed out that while the babyfaces (Dolin, Shotzi, and Paxley) were trying to project a sense of unity, Fatal Influence were the exact opposite.

The tension between Tyson DuPont and Tyriek Igwe continued to escalate on this week’s episode of WWE NXT.

Following their loss to Hank & Tank on last week’s show, with Igwe rejecting a handshake, the disagreement over “sportsmanship” between DuPont and Igwe continued this week.

Wes Lee showed up and agreed with Igwe’s decision to reject the handshake, and suggested that friends were overrated.
