Giulia has captured the NXT Women’s Championship by defeating Roxanne Perez to kick off WWE New Year’s Evil 2025.

This puts an end to Perez’s reign that started at NXT Stand & Deliver on April 6, 2024, making her 277 day reign the fifth-longest in this title’s history (behind Asuka at 522, Shayna Baszler at 416, Mandy Rose at 413, and Io Shirai at 304).

Giulia had previously faced Perez for the NXT women’s title on the October 1st episode of NXT, but came up short. Over the recent months, Giulia remained steadfast in her attempts to get another shot at the title, which she eventually earned by winning the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge match at NXT Deadline (defeating Sol Ruca, Stephanie Vaquer, Wren Sinclair and Zaria).

This time around, even with Cora Jade trying to help Perez retain through a count-out, Giulia was too much for The Prodigy and we now have some Beautiful Madness on top of the women’s division.

This is Giulia’s first title in WWE and an impressive victory considering how quickly she ascended to the mountain top, only making her in-ring debut for NXT on September 10th.

What do you think of Giulia winning the NXT Women’s Championship? Who should be next in line to challenge her? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
