Glenn ‘Kane’ Jacobs has proven to be a dominant force in WWE and politics, and there seemingly isn’t a massive difference between the two.

On a recent edition of the “Six Feet Under” podcast, the Devil’s Favorite Mayor explained the similarities between his two careers. He said,

“People say ‘wrestling into politics, quite the departure’ and I’m like ‘no they’re not. Different kinds but politics is everywhere in our world and definitely in WWE you had to learn to navigate the internal politics if you were gonna be successful. As weird as it sounds, there really isn’t much of a difference.

“Politics is interesting because you have people who are just focused on that as well…You’re trying to appeal to voters and the community at large. So you can’t worry about what the media or what some of those people say…I have to convince folks I’m not the person they see on TV.”

Jacobs was elected as Knox County Mayor in 2018 and re-elected in 2022. Though he identifies as a Libertarian, Jacobs runs as a Republican.

The WWE legend has vehemently backed former President Donald Trump and has endorsed the Republican leader for President in this year’s election.

Jacobs’ tenure as mayor has not been free of controversy, including threatening an official to lie about the misappropriation of resources in 2022.

Jacobs reportedly had public park workers tend to the gardens of his private residence. He later claimed that the investigation was a conspiracy against him.
