GUNTHER Responds To The Undertaker’s Praise Of His Work

GUNTHER has been carving a Hall of Fame career for himself since joining WWE in January 2019, and he’s received plenty of attention from legends who have high praise for him along the way.

One of those recently was The Undertaker, who previously said the sky’s the limit for GUNTHER, touting his ability to tell stories and his ring work.

In response to these compliments, while speaking to Kevin Whittier on the Witty Whittier YouTube channel, GUNTHER said the following:

“I mean, that’s great, obviously. Like you said, the feedback of the fans is what dictates our journey, how successful that’s going to be, but I guess for every professional, it’s always something else when it comes from up here or a colleague. It’s nice to hear those nice things and I chat with him sometimes when we run into each other at a WrestleMania or something. The style he worked for his career, I think it’s not that far off that he would be positive towards me because I think it’s somewhat similar.”

The Ring General turned King General following his King of the Ring victory surely would have been an amazing opponent for The Phenom had their careers lined up in a way where their paths could have crossed. For all we know, GUNTHER could have been the one to end The Deadman’s legendary WrestleMania streak. But while those dream matches will have to exist purely in our fantasies, it’s nice to see the mutual respect between the two and hear them tease what could have been.
