Following the announcement on Monday night that the Women’s World Championship will be on the line at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, we now know that the men’s World Heavyweight Championship will also be up for grabs as GUNTHER is set to defend against The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor.
This comes about after Balor interfered in GUNTHER’s match at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024, attacking Damian Priest and costing him a chance to win back the title he had originally lost to GUNTHER at WWE SummerSlam 2024. Balor approached GUNTHER to say he felt entitled to a title match, only for the champion to give a match to Dominik Mysterio instead.
Dirty Dom came up short, but Balor attacked GUNTHER after the bell to make a statement. RAW General Manager Adam Pearce felt the need to give Balor the match he’s been asking for, booking it for the special event that will go down December 14, 2024 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York.

- Tournament Final for the Inaugural WWE Women’s United States Championship: TBD vs. TBD
- Singles Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens
- Singles Match for the Women’s World Championship: Liv Morgan (c) vs. IYO SKY
- Singles Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: GUNTHER (c) vs. Finn Balor
