After it was announced that Hikuleo signed with WWE several months back, it has been a waiting game for when, where, and how he would be making his debut. As The Bloodline continues to recruit new members to follow Solo Sikoa’s mutiny in overthrowing Roman Reigns as The Tribal Chief, it has always been expected that Hikuleo would take on the trademarked name Talla Tonga and join the SmackDown roster to stand alongside Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu as yet another addition to Sikoa’s team.
However, PWInsider Elite is reporting that Hikuleo has instead been added to the internal roster for NXT, rather than the WWE SmackDown lineup.
No other information has been reported at this time as to why he wouldn’t be joining his brothers on SmackDown or in what role he would be utilized on NXT.
Could his presence be tied to The Rock’s daughter Ava, considering her role as NXT General Manager has yet to produce any crossover with The Bloodline other than a random appearance here and there that are never alluded to be her orchestration? Is this a matter of Hikuleo not proving himself ready for the spotlight and needing some extra training? Will The Bloodline expand its control and use Hikuleo to take over NXT?
