Hulk Hogan has given his seal of approval to Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and his ongoing reign as the promotion’s top star.
Rhodes won the title at WrestleMania 40: Night Two, where he ended Roman Reigns’ 1,316-day reign that began back in 2020.
In a recent interview with Justin Barrasso, Hogan compared the modern-day product to his day and weighed in on Rhodes’ run with the gold. He said,
“A lot of what we did back then still works. From time to time, you see him sort of ‘Hulk up.’ That’s cool to see. But it’s so hard to compare. This is a completely different time.
“I slammed Andre The Giant once [at WrestleMania III], and that was it. Would one slam be enough now? I don’t know. So times have changed, but Cody’s doing a great job with the belt—and that’s not easy.”
Rhodes’ most recently aired title defense saw him defeat Kevin Owens at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event earlier this month.
Rhodes was attacked by Owens after the show but returned to action during a WWE live event this week in Jacksonville.
