Jaida Parker’s first appearance on television for WWE was during the October 17, 2023 episode of NXT, where she faced off against Karmen Petrovic in the initial round of the NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament.
During a recent appearance on Booker T’s “Hall Of Fame” podcast, Parker shared her thoughts on the moment. She said,
“When I got the call, it was very emotional because at the time, I had lost family members back to back and I tell people everyday that you can’t tell me god ain’t real because I did not expect that phone call to happen and come through being like, hey, you’re going to be in the tournament. I broke down like, it was one of the best feelings of my life because it felt like I was doing something right and going down the right path and I’m doing it with god by my side. That was one of the best feelings of my life on top of the debut, I’m just like, I’m here for a reason and that just declared it for me.”
