JBL Praises Triple H, Freddie Prinze Jr. Predicts Big E’s Return Amid New Day Split Rumors

In a recent interview with “Sportskeeda Wrestling,” WWE Hall of Famer JBL praised Paul “Triple H” Levesque for taking over the creative side of WWE from Vince McMahon.

JBL said, “Triple H is the only one, to me, that could have taken over for Vince. He’s not only taken over and kept the company the same, they made it better. What they’re doing is just amazing. The billion dollar TV contracts, the crowds they are drawing. I am blown away by what he and Nick Khan are doing together, and the entire team, Bruce Prichard and all the guys, what they’ve done. It’s absolutely amazing to me.”

On a recent edition of his “Wrestling With Freddie” podcast, former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. explained how the current tensions between Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods will bring back the injured Big E.

Big E has been sidelined with a neck injury since 2022. The former WWE Champion plans to undergo new scans in the upcoming months to assess the progress of his neck recovery and determine if he can return to in-ring action.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On The New Day storyline bringing back Big E: “I’m thinking this story is bringing back Big E. I don’t know if it’s as a wrestler, but I think he’s gonna be on television and he’s gonna be on television really soon. And he’s gonna help these young men — they’re not young anymore — help these men see the error of their ways and pull them back together again.”

On The New Day’s “breakup” storyline: “I never thought you’d see the day where the New Day could break up, or potentially break up. But there’s trouble in the air. This is like nighttime soap opera stuff for men, y’all. This heavy f****n drama.”
