Jerry “The King” Lawler recently appeared on the “Going Ringside” podcast to discuss a variety of topics, including how he’s doing following his stroke last year and his current contract status with WWE.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On how he’s doing following his stroke last year: “I’m sort of hobbling around right now, I just had a knee replacement on my right knee. It’s doing good, but it’s a little bit of hobbling here and there… I seem to be doing pretty well. People just see me like this, but at home, I live by myself. It’s a little tough there right now. But it’s seemed to get better.”

On his WWE contract status: “The commentating contract [ended]. I had two strokes about seven months ago, and so they started…that’s not good for commentary. But I’m still under contract with them.”

The band Downstait, who perform Cody Rhodes’ current theme song, say they’re working on a new theme song for another wrestling talent.

Speaking on a recent edition of the “Reffin It Up” podcast, the band revealed that they have another theme song in the works.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

Guitarist Justin Call on being at work on a new theme: “We’re always working on somebody else… It’s not our song to spoil. What comes down to it, when we give them the music, it’s for them to do something with it. They run with it.”

Vocalist Zack Call on their approach to revealing new themes: “We like to keep it under wraps until the performer comes out and they start doing some of the promotion on their end. Most of the people we’re doing right now is a re-brand. Not to toot our own horn, but most of the time, when we get a wrestler, him or her, they go somewhere with it. We have this weird good luck charm on all these performers. It seems like they’re going somewhere when they get us. Since this year started, we’ve been non-stop working with wrestlers.”
