Brock Lesnar made his debut in Ohio Valley Wrestling in 2000, where he honed his skills before transitioning to the WWE main roster in 2002.

Prior to his WWE debut, Lesnar showed his rebellious side by getting tattoos without permission.

In a recent interview with Sportskeeda, Kenny Bolin recalled an incident from Lesnar’s time in OVW, where his inappropriate behavior with Jim Cornette’s wife reportedly led to his firing from the promotion.

Cornette, who was in charge of OVW at the time, threatened to shoot The Beast Incarnate and ultimately drove Lesnar out of the territory.

Despite this, WWE swiftly brought Lesnar on board and elevated him to the position of World Champion within a short span of time. This surprising turn of events shocked both Cornette and Bolin.

Bolin pointed out the irony in WWE’s decision, highlighting Cornette’s initial disbelief that Lesnar could rise from a scandal to become a top champion.

Bolin said, “I remember when Brock was with us at Ohio Valley Wrestling, he got fired for doing something that he shouldn’t have done with Cornette’s wife. Cornette threatened to shoot him in the parking lot and Brock went away. We thought that Brock was done. We didn’t think he could do that with a female on a live television show and get by with it. And then we see, 30-60 days or 90 days later, he’s the world champion. Jim said, ‘Well, they showed him. You can’t do that stuff, here’s the world title. What else would you like to do?’ Unbelievable.”

As for Lesnar’s current status, he remains absent from WWE television since SummerSlam 2023 due to legal complications stemming from Vince McMahon’s sex trafficking lawsuit.
