Zac Efron’s work in The Iron Claw proved he would belong as a member of WWE’s roster, according to 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena.
In the A24 film, Efron plays Kevin Von Erich, a member of the famed wrestling family that faced triumphs and tragedies both in and out of the ring.
In a recent interview with “Etalk,” Cena discussed Efron’s work in The Iron Claw and was impressed by his Ricky Stanicky co-star. He said,
“This was a very good representation of what was going on at the time, a wonderful performance by Zac. The whole crew did awesome. I thought the movie was exceptional. He’d [Efron] have a spot in WWE any day.”
Efron’s most recent film is much more light-hearted and sees Cena portray a fake friend of Efron’s character and his friends.
