Jonathan Coachman says he received the “cold shoulder” from Corey Graves when he returned to WWE in 2018.

In January of 2018, Coachman replaced Booker T as color commentator for RAW and worked alongside Michael Cole and Graves.

During a recent appearance on the “Insight With Chris Van Vliet” podcast, “The Coach” expressed his belief that Graves was worried about him taking his spot.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On getting the cold shoulder from Graves: “I felt like I got screwed over. I would actively every week ask Michael Cole, can you talk to Corey about us working together? I have nothing against Corey Graves. I’ve known Michael Cole since 1999, but if they don’t want to work with you, there’s nothing you can do. And Corey never wanted to talk to me. I never had one conversation with Corey Graves, and I tried, and that’s okay, because that’s kind of how the business is.”

On believing Graves was worried about Coachman taking his spot: “I was never going to take his spot. He’s amazing doing RAW or SmackDown. It was about that’s what Vince [McMahon] wanted. I didn’t come in and go, I’m stepping into that spot. So it was really frustrating, because I felt like I could have really helped.”

During a recent appearance on the “Going Ringside” podcast, former WWE NXT North American Champion Oba Femi commented on his career aspirations, wanting to see a WWE pay-per-view event in Africa, and more.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On wanting a WWE PPV in Africa: “I would love to see a PLE in Africa. We’ve had live shows go to South Africa, I believe, but it’s much more than just South Africa. I feel like the entire continent is riding hot for WWE. And once we tap into that market, it would be unbelievable.”

On WWE messaging him to offer him a tryout: “They DM’d me of all things. I thought it was fake. I did my research, found out it was real. Took them up on the offer. Did the tryout. Got the job and here we are.”
