TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace made a surprise appearance at Tropicana Field by entering the 2024 women’s Royal Rumble match at #5, lasting 11 minutes and 32 seconds before being eliminated by Bianca Belair.
On a recent edition of the “Gigantic Pop” podcast, Grace revealed how her WWE Royal Rumble appearance came together.
Grace disclosed that it was TJ Wilson (Tyson Kidd) who advocated for her during creative meetings when WWE was determining who to bring in for the Royal Rumble.
She said, “Actually, I recently found this out. I found out that TJ Wilson was the one who put my name in the hat during a creative meeting. I don’t think I’ve said that during an interview before because I just recently, like within the past month, found it out. He had watched my match with Trinity at Hard to Kill, and I think they were all discussing who to bring in because they didn’t have any big surprises, and he pitched me. I haven’t got to thank him in person, so if you ever listen to this, thank you, TJ.”
Grace’s last WWE appearance was at the NXT: Battleground 2024 pay-per-view event, where she failed to dethrone NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez.
