A recent report from The Boston Globe has revealed that The Friendly Tap, the establishment previously owned by the late WWE referee Tim White, has undergone a change in ownership. White presided over the bar from 1989 to 2011.
White previously sold the Cumberland, Rhode Island bar to Debra and Gerald Podgurkski, who managed the establishment for 13 years before selling it in April.
The bar reopened on May 3 after refurbishment and is now operating as an upscale Irish-American pub and music venue.
Last year, White was honored with a posthumous induction into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2023. He passed away in 2022 at the age of 68.
