During a recent Q&A on Instagram, Lilian Garcia revealed that she received the call to return to WWE a few weeks ago, before Samantha Irvin’s departure.
Irvin parted ways with WWE in mid-October, while Garcia made her return on the October 21st edition of RAW.
Garcia said, “When I got the call, just a few weeks ago, I got the call to come back. I felt like this was my dad and his gift, bringing me to this again. I have missed you guys and I will say that when my music hit and I came out in Philadelphia, I was not prepared for the love. I feel like this massive wall came through me with this rush and this energy. I thank you so much.”
As we previously reported here on eWn, Garcia is expected to have an “extended run” as the ring announcer for WWE RAW, though she might not be Irvin’s official successor.
Moreover, the decision regarding Garcia’s long-term position in this role is expected to be determined in the future.
