Next week’s episode of WWE NXT (September 24, 2024) will be the final episode of NXT to air on the USA Network before switching over to the grand premiere on the CW. As much of the focus has been put on those two shows for October 1 and October 8, next week’s lineup pales in comparison. Nevertheless, there were still a few announcements made on tonight’s episode of NXT of what we can expect to see for next Tuesday’s episode.
After challenging The Super Sonic Duo on X for an NXT Tag Team Championship match (which will take place on October 8th in Missouri), A-Town Down Under will make an appearance next week as Austin Theory and Grayson Waller host an edition of The Grayson Waller Effect, inviting Axiom and Nathan Frazer to be their guests.
Wren Sinclair was told by Charlie Dempsey that he wants her to make a name for herself as part of No Quarter Catch Crew. Sinclair’s response was to interrupt Kelani Jordan’s interview and slap her in the face. This resulted in Jordan going after Sinclair later on during NQCC’s match against Cedric Alexander and Je’Von Evans, wherein Tavion Heights and Myles Borne lost in part due to that distraction. The plan ultimately worked, though, as Sinclair will face Jordan for the NXT Women’s North American Championship on next week’s show.
We are likely to see some fallout from other aspects of tonight’s episode, including Tony D’Angelo training for another fight with Oba Femi, the next phase in the tale of Lola Vice and Jaida Parker becoming allies against Fatal Influence, and more to do with Brooks Jensen and Shawn Spears, among other things.
But there will also be a follow-up of Ridge Holland’s destruction of Chase University as he moves on from taking out Andre Chase and Duke Hudson to now going up against Riley Osborne, who wants revenge for Holland’s betrayal at NXT No Mercy.
Lastly, WWE mentioned a vague idea of a “press conference” to deal with the tension between several NXT Superstars who will be competing on the CW premiere, noting Ethan Page and Trick Williams (for their NXT Championship match), Roxanne Perez and Giulia (for their NXT Women’s Championship match), and Wes Lee and Zachary Wentz (for their street fight)
