Next week’s episode of WWE NXT (September 17, 2024) is set to feature an appearance from CM Punk, a contract signing, a special appearance from Tyrese Haliburton and several matches. How did we get to that point? Find out here!

Following Giulia’s victory over Chelsea Green, an impressed CM Punk tweeted out to Ava about an idea he had. Whatever that idea might be has yet to be announced, but The Voice of the Voiceless will be popping up next week on NXT to say whatever that is about in preparation to his already scheduled appearance for the CW debut of NXT on October 1st in Chicago.

While watching the show, Tyrese Haliburton tweeted out that NXT was on fire, saying he wants to come to next Tuesday’s episode. This was met with a response from Shawn Michaels, inviting him to the show, but warning him to be careful in the ever-dangerous parking lot that perpetually sees people get attacked and worse.

While Tatum Paxley has been struggling to make friends, Wendy Choo and Rosemary have been making a lot of enemies as of late. Since Lyra Valkyria returned last week to re-team and befriend Paxley, helping her fight off Choo and Rosemary, those two teams will face off in tag team action on next week’s episode. Considering Choo and Rosemary have also targeted Jordynne Grace, laying her out with a loaded pillow on last week’s Impact and interfering in her open challenge for the TNA Knockouts World Championship against Sol Ruca this week to attack her, could we see another appearance from Grace to get some payback in response?

Speaking of the women’s division teaming up to take out a menace, Fatal Influence continues to get under the skin of the locker room, prompting Jaida Parker to come looking for them. She had a backstage segment with Lola Vice and Kelani Jordan, where Jordan suggested Vice and Parker should team up to take on the trio and put them in their place. We can expect that to happen sometime in the near future, but next week, phase one of that operation takes place as Lola Vice goes up against Jacy Jayne. (Author’s Note: We all know how this will play out, as Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx will interfere, resulting in Jordan and Parker coming out to even the odds, before a six-woman tag team match is set for the next week or the CW premiere.)

There will also be a contract signing to make the NXT Championship match for the CW premiere official, as Trick Williams defeated Pete Dunne in tonight’s main event Last Man Standing match to secure his title opportunity. He will challenge Ethan Page, whom he dropped the title to at NXT Heatwave on July 7th in a Fatal 4-Way that also involved Shawn Spears and Je’Von Evans.

On top of all this, we will almost assuredly see the fallout of some other storylines take place, such as Ashante “Thee” Adonis and Eddy Thorpe at odds with each other, Oro Mensah attacking Lexis King in the barber shop, The Bloodline’s attack on The Super Sonic Duo and The Street Profits, Ridge Holland’s continued beat down of Chase University, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger’s request for a match against Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, and The D’Angelo Family’s efforts in taking down Oba Femi—however, nothing involving any of those storylines has been officially confirmed for next week as of this publication.

That puts next week’s lineup currently at the following:

  • Contract Signing: Ethan Page and Trick Williams
  • Lyra Valkyria and Tatum Paxley vs. Wendy Choo and Rosemary
  • Lola Vice vs. Jacy Jayne
  • Tyrese Haliburton will make an appearance of some sort
  • CM Punk will make an announcement
