TMZ is reporting that Paul has taken legal action against Coffeezilla (Stephen Findeisen) and his production company, alleging defamation and intentionally spreading false information to tarnish his reputation.
The lawsuit targets Coffeezilla’s investigations into Paul’s failed CryptoZoo project. Paul claims to possess text exchanges that contradict these allegations but asserts that Coffeezilla persists in spreading falsehoods for personal gain.
Paul also alleges that Coffeezilla initiated a subscription-based Patreon account immediately after posting the initial video on CryptoZoo, suggesting a profit motive for sensationalizing the controversy.
In his defense, the WWE Superstar presents texts indicating his commitment to a legitimate gaming experience and emphasizes his reliance on advisors Eddie Ibanez and “Crypto King” Jake Greenbaum for the project’s execution.
Paul further contends that despite his intentions, the project failed due to alleged deception by Ibanez and Greenbaum.
Paul further states that he did not profit from CryptoZoo and claims to have refunded over $1 million to NFT purchasers, aiming to clear his name from accusations of fraud through the lawsuit.
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages to restore Paul’s reputation through legal proceedings.
