Lyra Valkyria made a surprise return to WWE NXT on this week’s episode, seemingly rounding out a storyline that dates back to December 2023.
For context, last week, Wendy Choo brought in TNA Knockout Rosemary to face Kelani Jordan prior to their NXT Women’s North American Championship match at NXT No Mercy. Jordan successfully retained her title at the event, and Choo was attacked by Tatum Paxley following the match.
Paxley was seeking vengeance for Choo’s previous attack, which then set up a match on this week’s episode against Rosemary. After Paxley was victorious, Choo and Rosemary ganged up on her, leaving her vulnerable and with no one to even the odds.
However, despite Paxley spending the past 9 months struggling to find a friend on the roster, it appears she had one all along, as Lyra Valkyria came out to make the save and ultimately embrace Paxley as her friend, bringing a conclusion to the obsessive stalker angle from earlier this year.
In all likelihood, this will lead to a tag team match next week during WWE Week on USA, but that remains unconfirmed. Stay tuned for more details.
In the meantime, what do you think about Valkyria and Paxley reuniting? Should they stay a team going forward, or should this end with this moment? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
