Earlier this week, Vince McMahon’s legal team released a comprehensive 29-page court filing that robustly refuted the allegations made by former WWE employee Janel Grant. The statement categorically denied Grant’s allegations and underscored that her claims were baseless and driven by a desire for publicity.
McMahon, the 78-year-old ex-chairman of WWE, has recently enlisted the services of Sitrick and Company, a public relations firm led by Michael S. Sitrick, a highly respected figure in the field of public relations renowned for his crisis management expertise.
The firm’s representation of McMahon underscores its commitment to rebuilding reputations and uncovering the truth.
Sitrick and Company has a proven track record, representing a diverse clientele, including prominent names such as Kobe Bryant, Pepsi, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
McMahon’s legal motion, filed on Tuesday, vehemently opposed the allegations laid out in Grant’s lawsuit against McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE. It asserted that the allegations would be disproven and Grant’s falsehoods would be exposed. McMahon’s legal team staunchly defended their client, refuting Grant’s claims and reiterating the intended purpose of her allegations.
In response, Grant’s team filed a motion to strike the statement on Wednesday.
McMahon’s lawyer, Jessica T. Rosenberg, later emphasized that Grant had no right to bring the case to a public court and then attempt to silence McMahon’s ability to respond.
As per the court’s directives, John Laurinaitis has until May 14 to respond to the case, while WWE has a deadline of June 1.
McMahon resigned from all roles at TKO and WWE in January following Grant’s lawsuit, and he has divested a significant portion of his ownership in the WWE parent company.
