Marty Scurll is seeing a huge role in wrestling, potentially in WWE, in 2025, despite previous controversies that derailed his career.

On a recent edition of the “That’s Wrestling” podcast, Scurll shared his big plans for the next 12 months. He said,

“2025, it’s time that the villain ends up back on TV with a major company. I think the people are ready. I think, um, I think the people have been ready for a long time. I think it’s—we’ve just been waiting for one of the major companies, like WWE, to sort of pull the plug and just go for it.

“I know the boys are ready. Everyone wants to work with me, wants to wrestle me. I know what I bring to the table. I can guarantee you, whatever company it is, you bring me back, within the first month I’m going to have the bestselling t-shirt in the whole company, no matter what company it is, even if it’s WWE. I know that for a fact.”

Scurll was one of wrestling’s most popular stars during the 2010s and was part of New Japan’s Bullet Club as well as Ring of Honor.

In 2020, Scurll was accused of taking advantage of an inebriated 16-year-old girl in 2015. He did not deny the claim but claimed the encounter was consensual.

In January 2021, Ring of Honor announced that Scurll was no longer under contract and he has similarly not worked with New Japan since the allegation.
