A new match has been added to the lineup for WWE NXT: Heatwave — albeit, as part of the pre-show festivities.
Countdown to WWE NXT: Heatwave is set to start at 6:00 PM EST and will now feature not just a panel analyzing and breaking down the card with video packages, but a tag team match.
Previously, Sol Ruca had defeated Arianna Grace to earn a shot at Kelani Jordan’s NXT Women’s North American Championship. This week on NXT, Grace was sad, lamenting this loss in the locker room and the inability to perform in her hometown of Toronto while speaking to Karmen Petrovic, who was then badmouthed by Jazmyn Nyx and Jacy Jayne. Petrovic would go on to wrestle Nyx and lose via some interference from Jayne, and go to Ava’s office to angrily ask for another shot at them.
That is when Ava informed Petrovic that her friend had already approached Ava about a match, and it’s been booked. Petrovic assumed she meant Natalya, but it’s actually Grace who will be teaming with her.
