Meiko Satomura Likely Retiring In Spring 2025

Meiko Satomura hasn’t been very active in WWE over the past year, wrestling Roxanne Perez at NXT Roadblock on March 7, 2023 and not stepping back into the ring again until June 12, 2024 at Fortune Dream 9, and most recently teaming with Bayley, Bianca Belair, and Jade Cargill against Damage CTRL and Tiffany Stratton on a WWE SuperShow Summer Tour house show today in Osaka, Japan.

According to a report from Tokyo Sports, Satomura will be retiring at some point next spring, as April will be the 30th anniversary of her debut.

An official announcement has not been made, as her response to this retirement inquiry was “We will announce the details in the near future, so please wait a little longer.” However, one could surmise that announcement may come sooner, rather than later, possibly at the end of the current tour in Japan that she is scheduled to continue working.

Who would you like to see Meiko Satomura face leading up to her retirement? Is there a particular wrestler in mind you think she should wrestle her last match against? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
