As we reported earlier this morning here on eWn, WWE broadcaster Kayla Braxton took to Twitter to announce that she’ll be leaving the company after eight years. Her last day will be at the June 28th WWE SmackDown TV tapings at Madison Square Garden.

According to a report from Fightful Select, Braxton had been working for WWE without a contract after her last deal expired. In the last few weeks, they were working under a verbal agreement. It’s worth noting that Braxton took WWE out of her handle on social media back on June 6. While there had been ongoing discussions between the two sides, things didn’t work out.

It is said that AEW officials were made aware of her WWE contract expiring about two weeks ago. As of this writing, there is no word on if the two sides have been in talks.

Braxton signed with WWE in 2016, and she’s appeared as a backstage interviewer, the co-host of ‘Talking Smack’ and WWE’s ‘The Bump’, and more. She exited from her role as the host of WWE’s ‘The Bump’ in August 2023.
