At the 2024 Royal Rumble pay-per-view event, Naomi made her return to WWE after walking out of the company with the former Sasha Banks (Mercedes Mone) in 2022.
While speaking with “WWE Deutschland,” Naomi said it felt like a relief when she made her return. She said,
“That too felt like a relief, you know what I mean? Just all the negativity surrounding the walkout and everything that Mercedes and I have experienced. It just felt like a big weight off my shoulders to be back home. To be accepted back home, and just to have the opportunity to continue where I started and finish the story; my journey.”
She continued, “Just to have the opportunity in my career where I started and finish things the right way, and to reconnect with my WWE fans. Just to push through that entire time in my career. It felt really, really good and special to be back. People made me feel that. Even backstage, you know, I was a little nervous, but it was like I had never been away.”
WWE SummerSlam will be coming to Johnny Gargano’s hometown of Cleveland, OH, and he recently spoke with Cageside Seats to express his desire to be featured on the show.

On potentially being on the show: “It’s one of those things where, look, I’m just happy doing anything. I would do anything in that stadium. I don’t care what it is. I just wanna do something in that stadium. It’s a lifelong dream of mine. Whether it’s defending the tag team titles or just popping out and waving to the crowd, I don’t care. I wanna do something wrestling related in that stadium. And I will die happy.”
On the show taking place in Cleveland: “It’s so freaking cool. The thing I’m most looking forward to is all these people, coming from all over the world to Cleveland, Ohio. People that are like, ‘Why are we going to Cleveland?’ Then they come to Cleveland and they realize it’s a beautiful city. Filled with beautiful people and amazing things to do.”
