Next week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown will emanate out of the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona and will be the first three hour edition of the blue brand, but surprisingly, not much has been announced for the show as of yet.
In fact, only two matches are official for next week, with no other segments being confirmed or even alluded to.
We can assume there will be follow-ups with the tag team division after The Street Profits found out from Apollo Crews that it was indeed #DIY who attacked them, and it can be surmised Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford will face Pretty Deadly, as Kit Wilson and Elton Prince have struck a newfound partnership with Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa, but that is up in the air.
What we do know is that Andrade has been advertised as facing Shinsuke Nakamura, but the graphics for this have specifically avoided saying the United States Championship will be on the line. With that in mind, it seems this is a non-title match that can open the door for Andrade to win, earning him a shot at the belt for another night.
Someone who will indeed get a championship match, though, is one half of the women’s tag team champions, Naomi. After pinning Candice LeRae in a six-woman tag team match to earn the win for her team, Naomi will be facing Nia Jax for the WWE Women’s Championship on next week’s show.
Could we see a title change, either through Naomi winning the belt, or softening Nia Jax up enough for Tiffany Stratton to finally cash in?
Again, this means the lineup as of right now for next week’s SmackDown consists of the following:
