It’s merely a matter of time before the United Kingdom hosts a WrestleMania of its own, at least according to SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis.

In recent years, fans have been audible about wanting WrestleMania to come to the UK with London being the favored city for the event.

On a recent edition of the “Insight” podcast, Aldis shared his confidence that the UK will host WrestleMania one day. He said,

“Yeah, absolutely. I don’t think you’d have the Mayor of London campaigning, Chris, using it like he pledged to try to get WrestleMania at Wembley in his campaign for Mayor of London. I mean, what else is there that solidifies the status of WWE? Mayor of London is not a small political position in the UK. It’s sort of like, kind of the second most sought after position after PM because it’s the precursor to being PM. It’s like, when did you ever think that someone running for Mayor for London would be like, ‘re-elect me I’m gonna do everything I can to bring WrestleMania to Wembley Stadium.’”

At WWE Money in the Bank 2023, John Cena made a surprise appearance and shared his intentions to bring the two-night event to London.

Cody Rhodes has also spoken in favor of bringing WrestleMania to the UK, as he told fans during a tour of the UK in April of this year.
